Paddle level switch working principle is given below. In paddle Type level Switch rotating vane continuously rotate by a motor. When this pallet comes into contact with the material, more force than the rotating torque will be applied to the pallet and rotation will stop. The level switch detects rotation, stops and sends the contact.
The paddle type level switch is used for the detection of dust level or litter material in silo, hoppar, etc.
Working principle of paddle level switch
A detection paddle inside the tank is turned by motor, the paddle is arrested to rotate by a load of the object to be measured. An actuator fixed on the motor activates a limit switch to stop the motor, providing a detection signal.
Principle: A metal paddle is slowly rotated by an electric motor in a paddle level switch. The material in the container will load the paddle once it reaches the paddle’s level. When the paddle is under enough torsional stress, a torque switch that is connected to the switch’s motor turns on.
Paddle level switches are made with the intention of performing point level sensing in dry bulk materials. A one rpm magnet driven motor turns the switch’s paddle. The movement of the paddle is obstructed when the product accumulates in a container, setting off an alert.
